A diner at Salt Bae’s controversial Nusr-Et restaurant in has blasted the eatery on TripAdvisor, claiming they were threatened to make them leave their table 

After weeks of backlash and countless mixed reviews, the Knightsbridge restaurant informs diners that they have 95-minute slot online gampang jackpot to eat their eye-wateringly expensive meals when booking with OpenTable.

The celebrity hotspot is owned by Turkish butcher-turned-chef Nusret Gokce, better known as Salt Bae and is famed for his unique salt sprinkling technique that cascades down his elbow.

Taking to Trip Advisor, one diner claimed they were interrupted mid meal by the restaurant staff, to be informed that they had thirty minutes until they had to leave, even though they were just being served their sides.

The time limit set out by the restaurant would mean it costs £725 per hour, or £12 per minute, to enjoy the infamous £1,450 gold-covered steak.

MailOnline has approached Nusr-Et for comment.

Comparing Nusr-Et to a branch of IKEA, the reviewer said: ‘I went in after reading the headlines about the prices so was fully understanding of what I was getting into.

‘I decided to take my partner there for dinner and the staff were nice, however we did have to wait a long time for our drinks order which I had to find a staff member to come and take it.’

The reviewer explained that the side dishes for the table had not yet been brought out, so they decided to ask a waiter when they would arrive.

It was at this moment that the customer claims restaurant staff became ‘rude and blunt.’

Nusr-Et restaurant has come under fire for weeks by critics who label the brand as expensive and

‘The staff then came mid meal and warned us that we had 30 minutes (he was placing our sides on the table when he said it!) so that we could allow others to use the table as there is a quick turnover time.’

‘It’s like Ikea, it looks good but its poor quality (service and food).I actually opted not to have Nusret to cut our steak, I just wanted good food. Don’t follow the hype.’

The time limit claim comes after comparisons between the staff’s wages and the restaurant’s dishes were made; the hourly wage being the same as the cost of mashed potato on the menu.

A Nusr-Et’s job advert posted online, said the restaurant is seeking an ‘experienced’ Chef de Partie – who is usually in charge of a particular area of production in a restaurant – to join the team.

It said the successful applicant ‘will be working with some of the finest ingredients from the UK and abroad in one of the most famous steakhouses in the world.’

However, the chef will be paid just £12.00 to £13.50 per hour plus tips – despite the menu’s staggering prices.

The vacancy on Caterer.com reads: ‘Amazing opportunity for an experienced Chef De Partie to join Nusret team in the new restaurant in London!

‘As a Chef De Partie, you will be working with some of the finest ingredients from the UK and abroad in the one of the most famous steakhouses in the world.

‘You will play a vital part in a large team and will support the Head Chef during service.

‘To the successful candidate Nusret London offers a highly competitive salary and excellent opportunities to develop a global career.

‘If you’re a Chef de Partie looking to work the famous steakhouse, send your CV, we want to hear from you!’

Nusret, 38, currently has 17 restaurants in his successful chain and has a legion of celebrity devotees including DJ Khaled, Leonardo DiCaprio and David Beckham.

He opened his London branch in October, with reality stars and influencers keen to get a taste of the internet celebrity’s dishes.

But the restaurant has been widely slammed by critics and foodies, with the Guardian’s Jay Rayner taking a £8.50 kebab from Fulham’s Kebab Kid to eat outside the restaurant in protest.

Meanwhile, receipts posted online have shown a single steak priced at £630 and just four Red Bulls costing £44.The table of eight customers also had a £236.40 service charge added to their spend. 

Elsewhere, the customers paid £9 per glass of Coke, £12 on four pieces of sweetcorn and £200 on a rack of lamb. 

Evening Standard restaurant reviewer Jimi Famurewa described the food as ‘categorically bad and called the clientele ‘wealthy, bored-looking new parents, super-rich kids that always keep one AirPod in, tanned fifty-somethings with the air of suburban hot tub owners and groups of young aspirant influencer girls in swishy dresses.’

There’s also been controversy since opening, including bad reviews reportedly being deleted from Google.

Last month a customer’s receipt went viral after totalling a staggering £1,812.40, earning the restaurant an onslaught of backlash, however Google reviews currently show a 4.8 star rating – with the site stating it was ‘updated by the business a week ago.

According to My London News, ‘a flurry of reviews appearing to criticise the restaurant when it first opened’ have since ‘disappeared’.

The restaurant now boasts 4.8 stars on Google and 4.7 stars on Facebook, where one client writes: ‘What can I say apart from WOW!Yes the prices are not cheap but you get what you pay for in regards to service, ambience and quality of food and drinks.

‘I was lucky enough to meet Nusret and he’s a lovely, humble man. The theatre of performing the signature steak slicing by Nusret and then later the Baklava by another gentleman was absolutely fantastic.’

Only one less flattering review remains, with a customer branding it ‘too expensive’ and ‘not child friendly’.
